What is Namecheap?
Namecheap is an ICANN-accredited domain name registrar based in Phoenix, Arizona, that offers domain name registration and web hosting. Namecheap is a low-cost hosting provider with 11 million registered users and 10 million domains.

History of Name Cheap
Richard Kirkendall founded Namecheap in 2000. Namecheap began accepting Bitcoin as a payment method in March 2013.
ICANN price caps decision
Namecheap was one of the organisations that filed a reconsideration request with ICANN in July 2019, requesting a review of the decision to remove price caps on.org and.info TLDs. As of September 2019, ICANN had not responded to such requests.
